I had so much fun refreshing the interior of a cozy apartment in Oslo, all while keeping sustainability at the heart of the project. The apartment was filled with sentimental, beautiful old furniture and features that the owner loved, so I decided to build the new look around these pieces—mixing a vintage vibe with a modern twist.
We worked with what was already there as much as possible, choosing a new color palette for the walls and even rummaging through the attic and basement to find a few hidden treasures to bring into the design. The goal was to buy as little as possible—just a few secondhand and vintage pieces to complement the look—focusing mainly on what was already in the flat.
The whole idea was to give new life to the pieces that had meaning and create a space that felt true to the owner's style. It was all about blending the old with the new, and adding a bit of fun and nostalgia to make it cozy, unique, and very personal.
